I have an 89 D-150Le with a 360 engine and an auto trans pickup and i could use some help/advice.
First of all i'd like some advice on getting better gas millage with my truck, any suggestions there would very helpful. Are there any cold air intake kits that would fit my truck? What do you recomend for running dual exhust? Also i would like to know if its possible and if so how difficult to convert to an electronic ignition system. Is there anyway to upgrade or other wise mod the computer to increase performence? Any help would be greatly apreciated.

That truck should already have an electronic ignition system in it, I'm pretty sure...
Dual exhaust, yeah you'll definitely want to do that right away. Every truck I've owned and have yet to own will always have dual exhaust. With your truck, if you can, you should try and get away with no cats. I know here in Canada that you can run your vehicle without any if it's older than 1995, by law. My suggestion to you is to do away with the cat or cats, and put dual Thrush mufflers on, or any other type of glasspack mufflers will do as well, and that way you'll have optimum flow, some more power, and a nice sound! Chrome tips look good as well.
More guys should be along shortly with some more advice I would think...

how can i tell if its electronic or not? Would flowmaster's work well. One other thing that i forgot to ask ealier. For some odd reason the air filter keeps getting clogged in one spot, right where the incomming air hits that defector thing, the filter gets blackend there but no where else and suggestiongs?

Flowmasters are just expensive mufflers that will restrict your flow, and sound bad. You need headers for those things to be able to sound good. Those mufflers never pay for themselves.
I don't know what to tell you about your air filter...

quick question whats the best way to do dual exhust?
1. Replace the exhust manifiolds on each side with each on having its own cat, muffler and o2 senor?
2.Put on mew manifolds, let that go into one pipe for the cat and muffler then split into two pipes?
Its an 89 D150 Le, need to know where i can parts and what brands you guys have had luck with.

I guess you have to use cats, right?
Have one pipe from each head. Lots of guys swear that you need an X pipe or crosspipe or whatever but you don't need that. Each manifold has its own pipe.
That number 2 you mentioned won't do anything. If it's 1 pipe to begin with it won't make much difference if you have 1 pipe or 2 pipes after the muffler.
I suggest a cat and muffler on each pipe. This is true dual exhaust. The exhaust pipes never meet. That's just the way I would do it, as I believe it is best.
