Lancer goes down

On my way home from playing with a Spec-v, Lude, and VR6 I catch a light and pull up next to a guy in his OZ Rally Lancer. He gave me a nod and a rev and I replied with the same. Opposite light goes yellow, and I raise the blackmight up to 3000RPM's We get the green and he's out by 1/2 car length (probably cause of weight) I top 1st, slam 2nd and I pull on him pretty hard. He shifts to 3rd while I'm High in 2nd with the V-TEC open wide and I continue to pull, By the top on 3rd around 95 I'm ahead at least 2 cars (I can see his entire car in my left side mirror) So I hit the flashers & slow down. He pulls up along side and honks as I turn off.
Chalk one more up for the.......BLACKNIGHT

So true...Unless he had extensive work, it shouldnt have been anything to fear. I believe (besides the evo series) that the closest thing to street respectable is the newer ralliarts. However, im not even to fond of them.

Awesome man. Shoulda raced the VR6 hehe. I love those bad boys, especially when you throw one in a Corrado...sick cars.

Isnt the OZ Rally just a regular ES with nice wheels?

Probally, if there are any difference they are very slight. The car is slow.

I'll get smoked by a VR6. And they are made by VW. Not by mitsubishi. The VR6 engine is available inthe Jetts or the GTi

The only thing different about the "OZ Rally Edition" Lancer is the little emblem on the back of the car, the interior trim, and the OZ wheels. Dat be it.

good kill but nothing to rave about...it would've been awesome to turn with the Mitsubishi (haha,jk) VR6...but hey a win's a win, awesome job.....peace

Actually the '04 OZ Rally Edition has around 165 HP and 165lb.ft. of torque.

yep, '04 OZ Rally definitely only has 120 hp, the Ralliart is the one with a 162 hp 4G64

Yea thats what I thought. Like I said it is the closest a lancer will get to street credible. Besides the Evo of course, which isnt a lancer at all.
