94 & 95 S-10 help

Hi Guys and gals. Couple of troubles I have here and would appreciate some input.

1) 94 s-10 4x4 4wd is stuck in 4wd HI. push the button and you hear the "noise" but wont switch out of 4wd. 2nd issue with this one is that the wipers intermittantly decide when they want to work.

2) 95 s-10 2wd- emergency flasher light swith is busted. Right now we have a screw driver jammed in there to keep the lights in the off position. Everyone Ive talked to seems to think that I need to replace the entire steering column and cant just replace the button.

If anyone has any suggestions or comments, i would be forever thankful!

you should check your vin # & go on line .there where some recalls on some of the s10 wiper motors.

the flasher is located in the steering column, the manufacturer added the cruise, wiper, turnsignal & dimmer to this handle. I broke mine too, I had to replace the whole arm about $200 for the part
