In speaking with Ron at PES_tuning, it seems that my 97 A4 2.8L is "unchippable". If that's true, what do you all think:
Is it worth it to spend $900 for stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, and another $300 for a K&N full replacement air filter?
Is my only option to improve performance a barely noticable 10hp increase, at a cost of $1200?

I chip on a 2.8 really isnt going to do much anyway... I wouldnt waste my money.. spend $25 and get a k&n drop-in... exhaust would be nice, but they're expensive.
are 97's the 30valve? if so... your best bet is to save up for the supercharger...otherwise, you're not gonna get much..

Thanks for the abnormally aspirtated website. you're right. Just what I was looking for.
