Exhaust suggestions

Hey guys, I'm new at this forum thing, I just signed up. Anyways, I have a 1993 240sx SE, and I have done a manual tranny swap on it, and put a cold air intake from Injen so far. I have also purchased a really nice body kit and a type-x wing for my car. I want to have these exterior mods put on my car, but it would probably look funny without an exhaust system (I don't want to get just a muffler...i think its dumb). So i just need some suggestions on what company to get an exhaust kit from (HKS, Blitz, Apexi). I was told that 3' piping for a turbo car sounds great, but is the piping too big for a Naturally Aspirated car such as the 240sx's KA motor? Btw don't worry about making things complicated, I know a lot of information about the Almighty 240sx, I just want a good sounding exhaust with good/great performance. Please something under $600 if possible from somewhere other than the actual HKS or Apexi website, the prices usually are alot more since its from the actual company distributor. Thanks guys.

Well you can get a street exhaust which is like 2.5 or something or a 3 which shouldn't do much of a diff with your KA. But if you want that low end torque, go with the Apex'i dual, it has a 3 incher going into 2 2.5s so it gives you torque and top end at the same time....well that's what Apex'i says. :-P

If you dont mind me adding on here i'm going to get the SR20 and i dont know what exhaust system i want. As far as sound i like a half deep half rice sound. Sorta like a Greddy Evo and Apex'i N1 put in one. Like thos two sounds in one. Do you know anything like that?

its pretty low and deep when your just cruising but when you open it up it gets louder. and when you rev it, it sounds good too. i dont think it sounds ricey. i like it

Alright...awesome. I was thinking about getting that before but i wasn't sure if i was going to like the sound. But if you say its cool and all then i'll just get it.

Mine sounds really good. You cant even really hear it idling. It kinda sounds like a really quiet Flow system at idle, but if you get on it, its loud. My friend told me that when I get on it, it sounds like a crotch rocket at high rpm. If you are worried about sound, just get a silencer with it. The quietest system is probably a Greddy sp or a rs-r. Both overpriced though. HKS is a thought too.

does Greddy make an exhaust for the 240? if so I'd suggest that.. all Greddy exhausts sound good that I know of

Well...i want a loud deep (bassie) sound. I like the crotch rocket sound...but not all the time. But i think it will still sound like what i want it to. I dont think the silencer will make it deepier. But as far as db's i dont care. Its just the type of sound.

I was just lookin and i saw the Apex'i GT-Spec exhaust system...whats the diff from that and the N1? I think the GT-Spec has full stainless steel and that would be something that would be nice to have for the winter when its cold. Like for just starting it up and go a mile. Because when it is cold to you worm up the exhaust system for a minute then shut it off i here it can make it rust or something like that. I know its not good on the exhuast system...thats all i know. But in sound wise...what would the GT-Spec sound like compard to the N1? All most the same?

The GT spec is like 85-95 mm and the N1 is 75-85mm. GT spec is way too big for N/A. N1 is too big for some people. The N1 is coated in a no rust coating that seems to work pretty good. I've had mine for about 7 months and no rust yet. GT spec would be hella-loud on your car.

It would be to big on a SR20DET? And it would be to loud for what i want?
