It was mentioned already, but my vote is for the Omni GLHS.
I owened a 91 Probe GT (same as Mazda MX6) with the 2.2L Turbo, and it was a very good car in a straight line. Handling was average, and braking, well, I impressed the Mustang guys with how quickly I went through brake pads. In 13 track days in my first year of doing track events, with 2 days in the rain, I went through 10 sets of front brake pads.
