I'm thinking of replacing the radio cassette player in my 98 Caravan and wonder if you can just pull the outer plastic radio cover off or if you need to remove some of the knobs and or some screws. I pulled on it with my hands but don't want to force it and break it.

On my 94 the radio is screwed into a plate. You might have to remove some of the dashboard pieces to get to it, but once you unscrew the radio from the plate, it'll slide out. good luck

thanks EVH5150, this was so simple I sould've looked at it in the light, 2 screws on top and 2 hidden behind a thin plastic cover over the drink holders gets the cover off. Have to remove a couple knobs but no big deal. I can now clearly see the 2 main bolts to remove the radio body, slide old radio out, plug in new one and slide right back in. I'll replace with a factory CD player for this. I believe this would apply to all 96-2000 caravans.
Thanks again,
