Chrome mirror

Which would be cheaper/better to do:

Have my side mirrors dipped in chrome/chrome plated
or
Buy Audi chrome mirrors and have them fitted to my G?

Does N E 1 have a $$$ guesstimate

Just a guess...I would think it would be cheaper to chrome your mirrors than buying mirrors that don't bolt on to the car. Especially since I thing a pair of side mirrors can run up to $500 or more from dealer.
