Lights dont flash anymore when locking and unlocking car

Well the topic pretty much says it all. I had an aftermarket security system installed on my car and everything went smooth. Just today i noticed that my corner lights and brake lights dont flash anymore when i lock or unlock my car. Would this be something from age or something serious?? Please help. Would it help to disconnect and reconnect the negative battery??

The parking light wire from the security system should be fused. What system do you have? Im guessing thats all it is.
