I Need Advice On Electrical System

1990 CIVIC DX
I was driving along the highway, when the car just shut off.
I checked everthing and found that there was no sparking taking place.
I then took the coil to autozone and had it checked, nothing wrong there. I then checked for power coming into the distributor and I believe that the problem lies there.
My question is this: are both plugs coming into the distributor supposed to carry current because I checked the one plug with the 2 wires (blue & yellow-black) and one of them had power now the second plug had (white, white-blue, orange, orange-blue, and again white) none of these wires had current when I checked and I was told that one of the whites has to have current. So where does that wire(if its supposed to have current) lead to?

thanks in advance.

it is your dizzy. I belive the wire you are looking at leads to the ignitior.

What I mean is where does that wire come from ? is it supposed to have voltage. The reason I don't think the problem is the distibutor is because I installed another one and I'm still having the same problem. Car cranks but won't start.

basically do Both plugs leading to the distributor have at least one wire that carries voltage?, cause on my car right now only the 2wire plug(black-yellow & blue) has voltage.

That hapened to me, but it was my coil. I would check the ignitor and the connections on that.

I just know its not the distributor or any part of it because I installed a new one and there's still no firing. The problem is that there's no voltage getting to the distributor to begin with. Only one plug has voltage right now and that's the round 2wire plug. I would like to know if the other plug(the squarish one) also has to have a wire carrying voltage and if so where is that wire supposed to come from so that I can trace why it's not getting juice.

OK now with the two white wires is one of them supposed to carry voltage from the ECU to the distributor?

I'm starting to think that the problem is the ECU
