I think that onw looks sweet, that's not rice one bit. Rice is a car that looks fast but isn,t. And as far as I know all mustangs are pretty quick.

hey everyone. I'm SFrymyah, over from 3.8mustang.com, as some of you know, a rising web site and message board for fans of Fords 3.8L V6.
that car (obviously) belongs to Hmongstang, one of the most popular members of our community. Some may call his car rice, some dont, but it is actually one of the more tasteful mustangs considering his choices in aftermarket looks.
in reply to Zwaag: Funny you say that, lol. most people mistake mustangs for being fast, but our 1/4 times prove to be quite the contrary, with 5 speeds in the mid to high 15s and autos crawling in around mid to high 16's, sometimes higher. Of course, our cars will scoot, but not untill we get into some serious power adders, like Turbo and S/C. we've got one thats running a TT setup and hes well into the 11s. Either way, stock for stock, there is a nice number of cars that are slower, but that number isnt a very large one.
Please dont hate on Hmong though - he is a car enthusiast just like myself and all of you. feel free to come on over an join us at www.3.8mustang.com if you need anything

i think that looks pretty sweet. my brother-in-law has that same bodykit. i think that if you want a show car go ahead and make it a show car. im cool with it, as long as you like it, who cares!. i think its funny how people try to argue about which is better: performance or looks. its totally opinion. i myself lean a lot towards performance, but if my ride looks cool, its even better.

Congradulations on your website and I think I remember Hmongstang use to be an active member of this forum for a while and found him to be a nice person.
I will disagree with you in somethings though your 1/4 mile times are not referring to GT's and when people think of Mustangs as a whole they don't think of the V-6 the they think of the V-8 models.
Also taste is different for everyone like you said. I find a lot of his choices in bad taste. I think the rims are too big, the car is too slammed, they body kit I'm not that into but I would let it slide if it wasn't for the other 2 things mentioned. So basically yea I do find it a bit ricey. But to each his own.

i understand your disagreement with the 1/4 times, i was referring to the V6, not the GT's or cobras. and yes, you are also correct saying most people think of the V8 models - i cant tell you how many times people have come up and ask "you got a 5.0 in there?" however, you cant ignore the majority of mustangs, which are most of the time, the V6.
also, those are the rims on his car, but its a photoshopped picture. those are actually 17s and the drop isnt nearly that extreme

Yeah, thats not really rice. rice are the cars with the HUGE spoilers, the big big exhaust that is obviously a fake sound, and flamboyant colors. his car is nice
now for the 1/4 mile times. Thats for a V6 isn't it? :banghead:
i dont consider a V6 to be a true true mustang because when i think mustang i think power, sound, handling, performance, which is a V6. Sorry but i just don't approve of V6 pony's that much
