my cousin and i just modified his eclipse so that his middle tail light actually lights up. it was quite a project. we took pictures all along the way and will have a site up for it pretty soon. it looks awesome. it is a mod that will set you apart from the rest!

hopefully it will be up this week. we are designing a web page that will have how to`s on all of the stuff we have come up with between our two cars. we have both put in push button ignitions and shortened our own shifters. we do stuff like this when we get bored at night. we finally decided to start taking digital pictures of everything we do now.

Hmm I have done both of those :sunglasse.. hehe :iceslolan
And I was going to do the center light up thing as my first mod.. but then i just got lazy and then I painted it.. what did you guys use as a backing inside it.. foil?

not foil. i used silver paint. its just about the same thing as the inside of most turn signals and stuff. the tinfoil reflected the light to well. any wrinkle was showing up.

i was stupid and bought an expensive ignited s2000 style button. once i realized the circutry of the ignition system i realized that and kind of momentary button would work. my cousin starts his car by pushing in his cigarette lighter.

Hey ash, does your shifter knob light up? If so, I have that exact same one sitting in my glove compartment! I haven't put it on though, it's too ricey ;)

Mine does too! Every girl that has ever ridden in my car loves how it lights up, haha. I can't turn it on at night when I'm driving though, cause it fucks up my vision because of those damn strobes!

It is VERY EASY! They hardest part is making the cig lighter hole bigger to put it in there.
For the button there are two wires 12v power and one that goes to the relay.
Then from the relay you tap two wires.. one of the wires from the relay goes to the ign wire and one to the starter wire both at the ignition harness. Then the last wire from the relay is the ground.

well there are several ways of doing it. the way that all of the directions reccomend taps it into the starter wire. so one wire is making the starter wire hot when you push it. most of the buttons also have a second wire that you just run power to for the internal light. i took out my ignition barrel altogether and put my button where you used to put the key. then i wired a hidden switch that turns on ignition power. my button just puts power to the starter wire when you push it. i utilized the immobilizer in my car alarm to cut beteen the starter wire so if you dont unlock the car with the keyless entry there is no possible way of stealing it. unless you were watching me when i installed all of this stuff. any momentary button works. its fun thinking of places to hide it
