I want to install and mount a set of rear speakers in my 1997 Corolla and would appreciate any information to make the job easier.
how do I get at the radio plugs?
which one is for the rear speakers?
what would be the best way to run the wire back?
What size speakers ?
You most likely think that this guy must be a real klutz, but in actual fact I am a good tec. and welcome your sugestions,

What size speakers? Depends what you already have, the sound you want and your budget. Overall, I would say a quality pair of 6x9s.
How do you get at the wiring? You'll need to remove part of your dash and take your head unit out. You should see the outputs clearly labelled.
Best way to run the wiring back?
Run it from behind your head unit, behind the glove box, going down through the kick panel near the passengers left foot. Now take off the door trim bits (plastic strips with screws you can only see with the doors open), pull up the carpet. Lay the wire all the way underneath to the back. Once your happy with the job, clip the carpet back down.
If you need to install an amp, I reccommend under the passenger seat, just cut a small hold in the carpet where all the wiring needs to go in/out.
The best place to ground near the passenger seat is to attach it to one of the bolts once the chair is out.
Any other questions?
