And it's easy to get an account. You can either buy a 1 time carfax or unlimited for a month, which is what I did.

it was definitely cool to see my car's ownership history... turns out it's all origional miles, about 137k. i'm the 3rd owner. the guy who bought it new had it till '98, sat in a used car dealer for a while, then the next guy bought it. in '02 he had an accident with it, hit another car head-on. hence the grand worth of framework, including a new front bumper cover and probably a core support =\. bastid who was too cheap to fix my car. also good to know it's never been stolen or junked.

Yeah CArfax is a lot of help. I should probably buy the unlimited for a month.

VINs are 17 too which for some reason, when i look at the older model cars, classics, on ebay they only show 13??
