the car you get is based on your personal style and your cash flow. for 10 grand u could get a lancer but be stuck with a huge carnote and insurance, which you'll probably have to work to pay for and thus will cut into your education. its probably better that u focus on school so u can make more money and then later u can buy whatever car u want w/ a good job.
i had the same dillemma in the past, and the car that i bought for 3,000 w/ decent power and good looks was a 93 infiniti J30. 3.0 v6 200 hp RWD car that im in the process of getting a TT300z engine swap for- which costs an extra 4,500.. so i'll eventually have a 350 HP rwd luxury car for 7,500.. then your moms only gotta put out 3 g's while your car's paid off and you got the fastest nissan in your area.. lolz

You can find some twin turbo 300ZXs for around 15K with good miles on them. With that car you can KILL most ricer Civics. Or you can get a Lancer Ralliart, which is cheaper and faster than the other Lancers. The only problem with it (to me) is that its FWD. I would go with the TT 300ZX because there isnt much you have to do to get a lot of power in that car. Plus its a RWD.

You say your 15. You should start out with a cheap FWD economy car to drive around for a couple years. I know this isnt glamorous, but, you need something to learn on that you can afford to get a few dents and scratches on that your car will probably receive while you learn basic driving skills. Insurance would be alot cheaper than owning a sports car. Then, once you are more financially able, have basic driving skills, and are older, you can step up to a nicer car.
