hey peoples, i dunno where to turn, for quick reliable (and cheap) help, i was taking a turn going 35km then my 99 ford taurus SE just TURNED OFF, so i was a lil shocked but i was rollling i decided to try startin it in neutral, still no go, it turns over but doesnt start, i park it on the side of hte road put it in park and no start, i walked home went back 3 hours later thinking i needed a boost, turned the ignition key, it started and died within seconds...anyone got any ideas? i admit i took the corner a little fast and the car push a tiny bit from behind, but nothin extreme, is there some feature that shuts the car off or sumthing? anyways, ill stop now, PLEASE HELP !! someone!!!!

First off, do you have fuel in the tank? If there is fuel, does the fuel pump make a whirring sound indicating it is charging the fuel system when the key is first turned on? If this is happening and there is proper pressure in the fuel rail then you'll need to check for spark at the spark plugs. Make sure all the above is as it should be and then if it still doesn't start post back. Would be nice if you posted back either way to let us know what did cause this problem. Good luck.

well it turned out to be the fuel pump relay switch. when my dad went to pick it up they said, "tell ur son to slow down". supposely i turned to fast and the bottle of antifreze in the trunk hit something, i dunno, doesnt make sense to me. but ya, it was the fuel pump relay switch, thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the come back. It may be that the anti freeze bottle bumped the inertia switch hard enough to trip it. That would be my guess. Interesting.
