Catalytic Converter replacement 87 S10 Blazer

Our 16 year son and I are attempting to replace the catalytic converter on his 87 S10 Blazer. We have a Chilton's shop manual, but we're nt clear which bolts to take off. Some, as you know are difficult or impossible to get at. Any insights would be helpful.
