more 94 Shadow problems

Well it seems like the major problem with my car is anything to do with the cooling system haha. Heres a short story: This winter my 94 Shadow stopped blowing heat inside the car, and we deducted that the water pump and thermostat needed to be replaced, so my dad and I replaced those, and it worked....for a month or so. The water pump broke again, and we had to replace it...again. After that, everything was fine for about 4 months and then last week my radiator crapped out and had a huge crack in it and that was replaced a couple days later. Now it seems that the water pump is leaking YET AGAIN. I think it might just be a cheap brand of pump we keep buying or something is just seriously wrong. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry to hear your troubles. I would check into flushing the heater core inside the car. you can disconnect the hoses going through the firewall and alternate back and forth between the connections with a garden hose to flush it out. It sounds like there might be more of a problem with the entire system. If you have a clog or restriction anywhere in the system, it would build up lots of pressure and take out components. You can always run a pressure check on the system to see how much pressure your system is developing. I would start there, and if that is the case, I would do it before replacing an more components. Then replace your thermostat as well. If you get a thermostat again, make sure it is the one with the hole near the very top of it to allow air bubbles to travel back to the radiator and out the cap.
