Wow, have you ever noticed that when you listen to Zeppelin...it seems as if everything else is obsolete. Like "there is nothing better than Zep" ? Maybe its just me, but i think that was part of "a deal" bwaahahahaahahaa......Anyways i think one of the best "more serious" songs was Houses of the Holy. But any of them is the best one to someone!

stairway to heaven is a great song. but most zeppelin fans that i no that listened to them in the late 60's, 70's, and early 80's dont like stairway to heaven at all. it was said to be a very played out song in the early 70's.

what the hell are you talking about? almost every zepp. fan loves stairway. besides you apparently every zepp fan i know loves stairway:screwy:

I dont think its that they dont like the song, I think they are just kinda sick of it being overplayed. Its sort of like Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall. Its a great song, but WAY overdone.

Its pretty funny to note as well that a lot of Led Zepellin songs where influenced by the band members fascination of Lord Of The Rings. Take the song Battle Of Evermore as an example..

page is no where near the greatest guitarist, best musician yes. not many people know he wrote all the lyrics, guitar riffs and solos, bass line, and alot of the drum beats best musician hell ya

dude actaully the other day i came acorss a stairway to heaven trance remix. lol its actually not bad. theres no words but a euro chick humms the melody to stariway.
