the motor veichle department of cananda prohibits any car manufactured out of canada to be registered in the country. there is an exception with some american cars but not all i really wish they could change that law man i really want a Jdm car. oh and they especially frown upon right hand drive cars

Im almost positive that right hand drive cars can be street legal her because there is a roll royce hin London that is right hand drive so no problem there. So there is no way to be able to drive a JDm car on the street in canada, track only? that sucks
is it legal in US?
is it legal in US?

You would probably need a lot of friends and a huge stack of cash.

I know that here in BC there are a few guys with right hand drive cars. They are old 240's and shit. One way to cheat the system is to buy one a jdm right hand drive car then buy a beat to shit car that is the same and switch the vin #'s and say that you cutomizes the crap out of it. It is legal to graft your steering column to the right. Thats a way to cheet the system but I wouldnt recomend it. Thats just an idea.

I think it is legal, because at Cayuga last year there was a real Civic Type R(right hand drive).Plus I seen a guy driving a right hand drive Datsun 280.

I've only seen one JDM Integra Type-R here, and I think its just the front end (if its the same guy we're talking about). The guy that owns it lives next to my best friend. He has Spoon stickers all over it, but I heard his engine is STOCK. But him and his friends have some pretty nice cars, during the summer, I saw a Impreza, a Supra, and a couple Preludes over there.

my friend is using the Vin # idea on his 240 he bought a damaged 240 in Japan and it arrived last week. He then bought a wrecked 240 from some guy that was parting it out for only $100 he did all this junk with the VIN #'s and whalla he now has the only right hand drive 240 in town.

Yeah you're talking about Vincent ... my uncle did his front end conversion on that car ... he's got a Spoon engine in it ... he used to be the owner of ZRD in Calgary ... I see his car too often ... :)

Oh I never knew he had a Spoon engine in it. A buddy of mine said he talked to him and he said his engine was stock. Maybe he meant he had nothing on the Spoon engine. I always see him everywhere (maybe because he's my friend's neighbour too). What's ZRD? I see ZRD stickers on his car and his friends' cars.
Also who is your uncle? Does he do bodywork on cars? I'm looking for a shop that will graft Skyline R33 headlights onto my 5th gen lude. I was thinking of bringing it to either RPM or Contemporary Motorsports, but if your uncle can do it and a goo job of it, I'm willing to give him some business.

When Vincent came over here from Hong Kong he opened up a shop called ZRD ... it was on 32nd Ave NE ... He no longer has that place open ... My uncle is part of Pacific Autobody, I know he will do a good job (Vincent's car as proof) but I don't think he is willing to spend the time to do it ... Even if you pay him enough I don't think he'll spend the time cuz he can make the same amount of money doing simplier jobs .. Only reason he did Vincent's car was because he's like a friend of a friend kinda thing ... RPM will do a wicked job but will cost you the most out of all the shops ... If you're really interested maybe I can talk to him and see what he can do ...

Damn, I was really trying to find a place that will do a good job. And I know RPM will (because I've heard really good things about them), but I'm afraid its going to be a little too pricey. But if that's what I'll have to resort to, I'll do it. But I'll ask Pacific Autobody and see if they will first since you do recommend them and you say they will do a good job. Do you know any other body shops that would be willing to do that sort of thing?

I've dealt with them before, and I don't know if i want to deal with them again. Have you been there before? How do you know them?
The reason I don't really want to bring it back is because my last car was sponsored by them, I had my body work done there. To make a long story short, they kept my car for 3 months. And all they had to do was put on a bodykit and repaint my car. I don't want to lose my car for another 3 months. And it wouldn't have aggrevated me so much if they would've told me that in the beginning (although I know its not a 3 month job). They told me it would take them a month MAX. But every week, they would be like "it'll be ready in a week". I don't think that's the right way to run your business. If you give your customer your word, you should keep it. I would rather pay more money to have it done ON TIME than to not have a car for 3 months. So for half of July, all of August and September and part of October I had no car. It was such a pain in the ass.

Back when Revolution Racing first opened ... some kid in a Civc chased me around Center Street North and followed me around to my buddies house ... when I got out he started telling me how nice my car was and all ths BS and told me about RR ... some advertisement I say!! ... so I went in that weekend and met all of them, including Rick(?) the autobody guy and we talked for quite a while and he told me he would match if not beat my uncles prices ... They seemed like a bunch of nices guys ... I've never had experiences with them but I "thought" it was a decent place ... Now that I heard your side I guess my thoughts have changed ... So know I know why you're not willing to go back ...

yeah, and the job they did was pretty half assed too I think.
And they tried to rip me off on so many things I think. They told me they were going to put in all this stuff for my car, and they didn't. And the deal was, they were going to give me a "really good price" on all the bodywork done on my car, if they could advertise on my vehicle right? And we agreed that I would come in and pick out the stickers (even thought I didn't want any) and say where to put them. So they called me when my car was finally finished 3 months later, and I was planning on going in and picking out the stickers and stuff, and they had already plastered their company stickers all over my car. And they were like "well, its too late now. Its part of the deal, you can't take them off" and they didn't even give me a good deal. And also I gave them painted interior vents to put in my car along with these MR2 vents and Z3 vents, and they didn't put those on and they just kept them, and they said they "don't know where it is"
I think that whole company is just full of scams. I would not recommend anyone going there at all. Well since I crashed my car, they kind of got screwed over too. They said they "sponsored" 3 cars, and 2 of them just screwed them over by ripping the stickers off and mine was the third one and it got totalled. So I guess they got what they deserved.

That's exactly how they found me. Except my car was parked outside my grandparents house while I was there for the day, and the guy in a Civic actually came and rang the doorbell and asked who's car that was and just talked about his uncle's company for like half an hour. I didn't even want to hear it by the end of the conversation, but I went in to take a look anyways, and I got a bodykit from them and they asked me if I wanted to be sponsored.

they took out all my rock chips dents and stuff, repainted my whole car, put on the bodykit all for $3000. They told me it was a sweet deal. I didn't really think so. I wanted to rip off their damn stickers.
I think I'm going to take my car to Milennium to get my car done up. I have a friend who's pretty good friends with the owners of the shop, so I'm going to check it out. Has anyone seen their work? Or has anyone done work with them? I know they had a booth at World of Wheels last year, that's all I know about them basically

Yeah, I hate them.
I thought it was an OK price at the time (I had no clue about any prices or anything) and now I realize I got shafted out of the whole deal. Actually I think its not a bad price for the bodykit, repainted my whole car, took out dents and stuff, but not worth slapping those gay stickers on my car.

Well a deal's a deal right? I didn't want to be a total dick and go back on my word. If I say I'm gonna do something, I'm not going to turn my back and do something else.
