I drove my car into a ditch the other day and now the whole wheel on the rear passenger side wobbles up and down. I can kick it with my foot and it wobbles. It does bother when I'm driving, it just gets a little loud.....can anyone help? What is wrong with it? and around how much would it cost to fix?

thanks...

zach

possibilities:

1) The hub bearing is broken. That might be relatively inexpensive, but if the hub has been damaged, could be fairly expensive.

2) The wheel is cracked.

3) The lug nuts are loose.

Stop driving this car immediately and get it fixed. This could be very dangerous.

Hope this helps.

YES!!!! DO AS CAPRIRACER SAID!!! QUIT DRIVING THE CAR!!!!!!!

I can't stress that enough. The wheel is most likely going to fly off if you drive on it!!!! Have it put on a flatbed and taken to your mechanic right away!!

If you can kick it with your foot, it is not just the wheel that is bent.

You guy's, come on.
If you wiped out and put it in the ditch (hope you are ok!) you need to get under the car and check out what got wacked and has not gone south yet.
I would say you need a new strut rod ,it is the rod that keeps the wheel going strait for you ,it is cheep to fix ,cheeper than a 18 pac of bush beer,,,,but thats up to you.
You could claim this on your insurance as ( no fault) ,,,some guy put you in the ditch..
