Major Clutch Problem!

I have a 1995 celica gt, and I am having problems with the clutch. When
I'm idling and hold down the clutch for a few seconds, the clutch just stays pressed and I have to keep pulling it back up. It's really annoying. Can anybody tell me why this happens and what solutions I have? I already checked the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder, but they were working fine. What else can I do?
