Hey can somebody help me please. My 99 G20 feels like it isnt getting any spark. When i push the peddle it kind of sputers and it feels like it wants to die, unless i put a lot more pressure on the peddle. The dealership told me that b/c of my greddy exhaust, headers, and my air intake that the engine's sensors are reading everything off. He told me that the our engines are not made for tuning, whish is completely opposite of everything esle i have heard. I wondered if a new ECU would take care of my problems. My car is a daily driver and i plan on doing many more mods to the engine. Camshafts are my next upgrade. How do i fix my problem? Should i get a new computer or will that even work?

As far as I am aware no one makes and ECU upgrade for the P11 G20s (at least not one that is available in the United States)

Can't you get JWT to reprogram yours? They can reprogram 99's but not 2000+

I'd say your stealership is full of CRAP! When did this start happening? What did you do prior to this happening? Have you made any changes to the car recently? Added any performance mods or changed any settings?

All i have is my exhaust, headers, intake, and some suspension mods. I am probably gonna get the camshafts next. But first i need to solve my current problems.

They cant reprogram 99's. After 97 or 98 Nissans ECU's have a new encryption that JWT cant seem to decypher.

I doubt that it is the Stealership, Dryer & Reinbold Infiniti (Not to mention BMW, Yamaha, Suzuki, Polaris) are very good people to do business with. If I may ask, are you doing business with D&R at Keystone or Greenwood. I don't know anything about the Infiniti dealership in Ft. Wayne.

Sorry, but the dealer is an idiot. No two ways about it.

There is a very good page on SE-R.net to go through the tune-up procedures Could be any of a number of things.

The person who told you that doesn't have a clue about what they are talking about. The ECU will be happy as hell. Using its sensors it will automatically compensate for the additonal air flow through the engine.
As for the tuning, that is exactly what this engine was made for.

Once you heard that guy say your engine wasn't made for tuning, you should've just left. He's full of crap. O.K. explain DET and VE mister service advisor.

Is your sensor in the right place on the intake?

Perhaps you have a vacuum leak . . .
Is it possible that intake hoses or connectors are loose or just not connected properly . . .?
What was the last thing you did in your engine bay, and when did you do it?
