Uhmmmm . . . I like that there is so much emotion around the poll . . .
Maybe some should refresh their memories with the question itself . . .
Transformers were cool . . . Lego's ? . . . a'aight . . .
but I'm talkin about straight - up open the package and roll em on the floor . . . or am I gettin' too deep ?

I always rip open the package and drive them around...collecting, keeping them in the box....that's a waste of a good dinky car. That's like buying a Coke and never opening it.

Hey! Completly off topic here, do think that Coke would go flat if you left it long enough without opening it?

Gota be Lego First, but It seems that it dosnt count, so then Matchbox all the way. Iv still got all of mine wraped in Tissue sitting in a box in the top of my cupbourd. Thier all from the early 80s, and I havn't looked at them in it what must be 10 years! I wonder if thier worth anything now? Or maybe Ill save them incase I ever have kids.

I hate how hard it is to find an "everyday car" dinky. The only one I can find right now is a Focus ZX3. Back in the 80's almost every dinky was an everyday car, like VW Golf's, Dodge Omni's, Ford Thunderbirds, etc. Now all you can find are Ferrari's and Lambos (which are cool, but I want something I can go get the groceries in while playing dinkys :)).

Why not use a Lambo. You could make three trips carrying 1/3 the normal amount of groceries and still make it home faster than if you were in a ZX3.

Yeah but its not the same man. You used to able to get cars like little 320i BMWs, or Toyota Corrolas, and even early Mini vans, you used these to run down to the cardbourd Dairy, while the more exotic cars were used for racing around it.
Man Kids these days have it all to easy, a ferrari and Lambo in every toy box, what next.........

I found a bunch of cool toy cars at the local SavOn drug store under some no-name type brand that cost like 85 cents each. I got a first gen CRX, a first gen MR2 poilce car, a 280Z and the JDM Toyota sedan that's the same as the Lexus ES. I thought those were pretty cool.
I suspect that you'se guys would have been more impressed with all the oddball old Ferraris that I knocked out of the way. ;)

Darda Demons . . .
These were very nice motorized cars . . . the ones that you pull back and let them go . . .
The only thing is that these were the BEST motorized cars ever created . . . FACT, not OPINION . . . (cocky me) . . .
No kidding, look 'em up, buy at least one and you'll see what I mean.

Im 20+ years of age and still love Spawn figures. One of them, Medieval Spawn II guards my bed. Really really detailed SOB's I think, very good and very lifelike for fantasy characters.
As for cars, I think Hotwheels is better (even though Hotwheels and Matchbox are owned by the same parent company). They get more detailed, and the cars themselves are stronger. I make custom cars, paint jobs, even total car reconstruction (one time I chopped the roof off a modena and made a Spyder). Hotwheels cars have more metal to them, and are sometimes incredibly difficult to pop open (take the chassis off). The matchbox are easier, and I like their chassis's better. Much more smooth if you play with them.
