Hi guys!

I Just did the brakes and rotors on my wife's 97 escort (getting the rotors off was a pain in the rear).

Anyway my brother-in-law after we were done said that the bearings sound like they are bad. He checked them out and he is pretty sure they are.

He was wondering if it is easy to do and how much they are. Is this something he can do at his house? he is a mechanic (works on semi's though) but have never done it on a Escort.

Is it a push/pull one (not sure what that means but he does) or easy bolt on etc?

anyway any information would be great. I didn't see anything about it in the Haynes Manuel.

Most likely it's like my Contour, You CAN replace them but they require to be "punched" in, The wheel bearing's them self should be around 35-40 buck's. If he has the tool's to punch the bearing in you should be able to replace it yourself. I'm not garenteeing that it's the kind that need's punched in, If not you just pop them in and out. Hope I helped a little.
