how can I cut the tamiya driver side & passanger side?

Hi everyone, I am working on a nismo R34 and I would like to cut the windows on both passanger and driver side. Basically I'm trying to make the model look as if both windows are rolled down. Do you have any input how to remove them?

I'd suggest using some thin clear plastic rather than cutting the kit windows down. Chances are that they'll look too thick when your done.

You can usually find thin clear plastic used in everyday product packaging. Some foods have plastic windows on the box (like pasta) so you can see what's inside. Kid's toys have all sorts of the stuff in their packaging. Cut out the kit plastic, and then just replace it with the new stuff. You'll have to shape it to the door frame so that it looks correctly rolled down.

Best thing I find to do is, tape the clear plastic pieces into place inside the model, then trace the outline of the window on the outside using a panel scriber, or a hobby knife, remove the clear plastic, then heat up a hobby knife and it should glide through the plastic with easy.

whoa I have been lucky so far. I made it without a breaking the plastic with a hobby knife!! Thanks for the reply Sony and Murray. I am going to heat up the hobby knife and see if that works! :)
