i am going to swap out my old 260k mile d16y8 for a fresher b16a.
the problem is, right now i have the obdii stock ecu in the car, and the b16a is an obd1 motor... should i conform it back to obd1, or adapt it to obdii and how...
second question, from behind the header back, would i be able to use my stock 96 ex's exhaust or would that be too restrictive... if i have to, i could fab up stainless exhaust.
thanks

what do you plan for this motor ? if you plan on turboing it or going all motor where you would need a aftermarket ecu of some kind then i would convert it to obd1 but if you plan on keeping it stock and not really messing with it then i woudl stay obd2
sorry dont know about the exhaust

thanks for the help, but i bought a usdm obd2 b16a.
to answer this question for others, Skunk2 makes a conversion harness available for conversion from their website. as for the exhaust, spoon makes several great exhaust pieces to use: i am using their 4-2-1 header, b-pipe, and street sports muffler, same noise level as jdm itr.
