air bag light

I replace my battery in a 98 Kia Sephia, but before i replace it, i turn on the wiper and the head light and turn the key on and off to see if the battery had a charge, doing that i turn off the airbag does any one know turn the air bag on the dealer told me a crazy out of this world price. Thank U
