What do use for 2 inch drop.

I want to get a 2 inch drop on my 04 Honda Civic and wanted to know what to use and what products are the best??

First off, try posting this is the wheels/suspension forum, you'll get more answers. Second, how much $$ are you willing to spend? You'll want springs, shocks, and a camber kit with a 2" drop. A good set of TRUE COILOVERS, like H & R or the Tein SS, are a very good tuned suspension, though it maybe be spendy (that would take care of the springs and shocks, you'd still need a camber kit). Also, H & R sport springs and Koni yellow shocks are decent combo.

It is dangerous...you will fuck up the spring rates...it's just dangerous.
By cutting the springs you will render an unpredictable spring rate...which s unpredictable handling...the car can seem okay and then whammm...the ride will be bouncy as h*ll, the ride qaulity and handling will suck. You may not care, but the passengers and other drivers on the road will...espeically if the car looses control do to fucked up springs (from cutting it) and hits someone. Cutting your springs will at the very least give you a bouncy, shitty ride and possible unpredictable handling...at the worst the handling can be so unpredictable you hit something or someone, it's not worth it...lower a car right or don't do it.

We have cut the spring on my 91 to lower it, its fine all we did is after we cut them the SAME lenght(thats where most people mess up) we heated the botttom where we cut it and flattened it....the car has been like that for 4 years and is gereat, its a little stiffer handling...but duh its gonna be.

EDIT: It gives you a stiffer ride...and increase handling capabilities...

I've never been a fan of cutting springs. But I have seen it done successfully. I dropped my car with Coilovers and I love them.

i did it the poor mans way...but i had the help of a guy that worked at a shop help me(hes gotta be 60) And he knows his shit! I wish i could have done coilovers

If done correctly cutting springs a little is Ok, not that I would ever rec. it. Well there is one time cutting comes in handy & that's when there are absolutely no lowering spring available for that type of vehicle.

Your car is still under warranty, do things right or don't do it at all.

It will definately void the warranty on the suspension.

You will void the suspension part of it - springs/struts, tie rods, ball joints, damage resulted from driving a lowered vehicle. Warranty may not pay for the removal/re-install of any aftermarket parts that needs to be removed for warranty work.
