Color Match ?

Hi
I need your opinion on color match for this car. I bet it's Italian Red, but it look a bit more "chery".
Which Tamiya paint would be the closest ?

Just checking the Tamiya color chart it could be "mica Red" TS 39. In my eyes Italian Red would be too bright for that kind of color!!

I used mica red before and it's a metalic red.. Color itselft would be a close match, but metal flake aren't quite close

Looks too dark to be Italian red, does look more like Mica red. isnt that a picture from last weeks Le mans 24 hour race, it looks very menacing that Modena !!!

It says 2003 on the photo ;)
Eric, you could get Italian Red to darken by spraying it over a grey primer base instead.
I have done this and it gave a darker shade of the red than when I sprayed the same color over a white primer.
