I'm happy that we are finally seeing some legitimate price drops at the pump the last few weeks, however. I saw as low as about $1.30 per gallon of 87 octane when I was in Maine last week.

I'm still breathing a sigh of relief every time I see a station with regular at just $1.69. It won't go much lower than that here just yet. :mad:

I've had to buy so much leg this summer - I nearly have a corus line.

Here, gas prices are down to 1.35 supreme, 1.25 premium, 1.15 reg. Last summer I went to Illinois for the annual corvette show (Bloomington) and paid 2.10 for premium:eek:

Oh, wow, just realized that that was taken just a few miles from my house...I filled up there a few days ago and prices were down to what I said in the previous post.

i live in the city with the cheapest gas in the nation....san antonio. :) :) right now regular is around 1.15

Think US $2.25 per gallon is about the going rate here in N.Z.:( :( :(

You're almost lucky : here in Europe, it's the same price... for 1 liter, and 1 Gallon = 3,75 Gallons !!!! :( Gasoil is a little bit cheaper : US$0,85/liter !

Here in the UK petrol is about 71.9 pence per litre, or about £3.26 per imperial gallon. Convert that into US gallons and dollars and it's about 5.13 USD per US gallon. Just count yourself lucky you don't have to pay that much!

Annoying thing is that it's about 80% tax, but according to British governments car use is too high. It's no longer politically correct to own a car :mad: So they try to persuade us to use public transport by pricing us out of our cars, even though the trains and buses are hopelessly inadequate :angryfire :angryfire :angryfire

You're right Focus2000, in the whole Europe gas is very expensive, I think that in the United Kingdom it's the more expensive, but in France, Italy, Belgium, Germany, etc. it's very expensive too.

Norway isn't much better.. Here a litre costs around $1.20 I don't know how much that is per US gallon.. :confused:

Here in Georgia, gas prices are going for about $1.25 to $1.30 per gallon of regular unleaded.

BTW...not all Americans take cheap gas for granted. I feel very fortunate to have it. :)
