Help - bought new remote keyless entry controller for 1994 740iL from BMA recently and I can't get it to work. Took it to local import garage (nearest dealer 3 hours away) and they can't get it going either. They say it needs to be programmed from an existing key, but I only got one (non-remote) key with the car when I bought it a month ago. Owners manual shows how to program, but doesn't say where the controller is located in the car. Do I have to go to the dealer?

a 'nice' dealer can do it for you in about 30 sec's. you do need 2 keys, 1 for the ignition and the 'remote' keys to be near the rearview mirror [remote antenna]........i'll post the initializing proceedure on Mon............jb.
