the faq's are helping out...but im being bogged down on a regular basis by info that seems way out of left field.
i have an 89 240 fastback with 189k miles. if i bought the sr20det, do i need to buy the entire front clip...or can i use the existing wiring and harnesses that are on the car now? i ask because obviously, there is like a 1500 hundred dollar difference between the entire front clip and just the engine.
thanks oh mighty 240 pownars
last note.....assuming that the engine mounts in my car are in good shape, should i replace them regardless?
i want to start on this car...but im not sure where to begin.

You don't need to whole front clip, but you need a new tach (aftermarket or 91+ gauge cluster) and power steering lines and reservoir. For the engine and tranny mounts, I'd say yes, chaneg them, your engine is out anyways and you can get Nismo ones, or other good ones for like under 300$.
