insurance price for E36 M3

Hi everyone I just talked to a friend who said when owning a bmw or any car that's at the top of the list the insurance rate is pretty high. I truely don't believe that that is true because a guy who was trading his bmw 3 series to me said the insurance was like only around 2 to 300 a month. But can anyone else give me an input of how much they are paying for insurance for driving an e36 m3. or any m3. =) I want to know more about costly matters when purchasing my dream car. so if anyone can give me a lay down on all the prices I have to pay for insurance and anythings else just to drive an m3 that'll be great.

To tell you the truth it is basically depending on driving history plus if you have established a good standing with you insurance already they will give yousome good rates! As for me on my 95 m3 I am not paying more than $200/mo!
