Eclipse GS-t proyect

Well finally i found a Mitusbishi Eclipse GS-t 95 manual with 125k miles pretty cheap, the engine was in bad conditions the guy who owns it never take care of it, thats a shame, but the body is on good cond i only have to change the driver door, anyways i have the engine of my Eagle Talon tsi awd 98 manual with 91k miles that i totaled like 2 month ago so i'm going to make an engine swap and put my TSI into the GS-T the only thing that i don't know if i'm going to use is the AWD system (tranny and everithing that includes that) cause some one wants to buy it.
I'm thinkig to make a full rebuild in the tsi engine and paint the hole body in a diferent color, it's gonna be a long time proyect, for that i'm going to keep the ESI i bought a month ago.
So you are going to see me around here asking silly questions about the engine :iceslolan and everithing.
I want to make a racing car and spend what ever i need to buy the best things or something similar :2cents:

the AWD conversion to a GST is not the most feasable thing to do, there are a bunch of parts you have to fabricate, and i think you have to get a different gas tank too.

i don't need to fabricate nothing at all cause i have the full body of an AWD so i just need to cut the things I need, and about the gas tank i have one too. :bigthumb:

I allready start, it's more difficult that what I think but not impossible, I allready tooked everithing out of the TSI AWD and tooked out the rear suspension, and the hole rear bridge of the gs-t, the fuel tank too, i'm welding the supports I take out of the tsi, but i'm pretty lazy and other thing i'm thinking to go to the college so i'm using part of my time to get some info abuot that, but it will be ready soon or no that much cause we are going to change the color interior and exterior so it's going to take a lil more time. i will post some pics

spyders are the easiest to AWD (since they share the same frame as the GSX) , BTW "easier" is a purely comparitive word...still is a sht load of work either way. If i had the money, I would buy the AWD off you in a second. What are u asking btw?

is not for sell now, but before I found the 95 gs-t I almost sell to Jake for $1000 complete the hole totaled car without the engine. But now is mine for a long time agian :)

what it try to say is, not it's for the sale now, but it was and jake almost buys it, but now that find the gs-t is going to be mine for a looooooong time.

dude im doing the same thing to mine i looking around for a crashed gsx and ill do the same thing you are, when you get it done you have to send me a list of what you had to do to get it running awd me email's are [email protected] or [email protected] my c5t one is my new one so send it there first if i write you back send it to the other one.

I can tell you that is not cheap at all, I went to the mitsu dealer the other day to buy a couple of things I was needing (Oil pan and some more things) and only for curiosity I ask how much it will cost to buy all the parts that the awd involve and I help them to make the list, and only choosing the most expencive things they told that the price should be like $8000. So if you can find a GSX body and tranny on a junkyard you will be all right but if not try to find a very good loan :lol2:

I have a huge problem putting the fuel tank of the 98 tsi awd in the 95 gs-t, i realize that the connectors of the fuel pump are different just after send the crashed car to the junkyard, the biggest problem I found is that the 98 have much more cables and the connector is bigger (I thinks that is because the tank is divided in two).
Somebody know the pinout of the fuel tank of both cars and in that way I can make my own connector.

Hey I have a 96 that has massive damage to the passenger side...however it still runs, not driveable but it runs....Im parting it out, anyone need anything?

Project Upgrade:
I already finish sanding it and the homemade paint cabin is ready:grinyes:, so now i will start with the first layer of Primer, i hope to have the car ready to hit the streets soon, about 3 more weeks, now is the moment of the details, and thats gona take more time, but hell yeah i'm finishing :naughty:!!!
I will post some pics of the paint cabin and the car sanded tomorrow.
