Distributor Cap setting for a 96 noma

I resently rebuilt my 4.3l v6 and put bigger pistons in it but when i took the engine out i forgot to mark the distributor dose anyone know what the setting is for it or where to find out what it is??? the truck dosn't wanna start either it keeps trying to crank over but it dosn't start , it takes like 3-4 trys to start it up, any idea's, i think its the Distributor???

Set motor to top dead center. Rotor should "point" to cyl #1 on cap orientation and to cyl 1 on engine.

It should be just about the middle of the rear of the intake manifold.
