get a washer, and a threaded or metal screw and a nut. wrap the mesh around the inside of the kit and over the top of the vent. from the outside, under the lip, run the screw through one of the holes in the mesh. put the washer on top, then put the bolt on. viola, the mesh stays. I'd put 3 on top and 3 on the bottom. paint them to match the kit if you like or just get stainless ones. Good luck

use fiberglass, that works fine.

i worked on all types of those kits and what works great is bondo. it's easy and holds real good. my blitz kit came with these little metal tabs that bend through th mesh. i take it you don't have those.

heres what u do.

-place the mesh around the opening (from the inside)
- make sure there is some excess to put the bondo (still doing this on the inside)
- take a hot glue gun and glue the mesh into place where you want it ( not too much just to hold the mesh into place for the bondo)
- then mix the bondo and place all over the inside and let it sit
- there you go that mesh will take alot now before it gives!

hope this helps you out!

a strong mixture that would be better if you can get this is: 1/3 resin, 1/3 gel coat (they use this for the molds to make the bumpers) and 1/3 bondo. this is a wicked mixture and is strong as hell.

ok... this is the best way.... go to an auto-body supply store.. and buy some 40/40 its made by Wurth and it will work perfect ... you can also use sheet metal screws if you would like... do NOT do fiberglass as it will crack and look ghetto... do not use bondo it is too fragile you hit a rock or something it will CRACK .... TRUST ME!
