I got this BS ticket for "Failure to yield" it is for $100 and he said that he was not going to give me any points since it was my first time. Well I have heard of people getting off if something is wrong on the ticket. But I don't know if this is big enough. There are two thing.. first it was at 12:25 in the night. Instead of writing 12:25 a.m. he wrote p.m. Also I was driving my parents accord which is tan but he wrote silver.. now don't tell me he could not tell the color of the car with that big a$$ spotlight of his.

Please tell me that this is enough.

Thanks

may as well try it; id guess that the 12:25 pm would be enough. If you can prove that you weren't on that road at 12:25 pm, that seems legit enough

I remember playing a video game where u were a cop and if you gave a ticket and wrote down the wrong time then the defendant would come in and prove that he was not driving at the time and would get off the ticket...id say thats a major issue and u could prob get off just for that although u would need to get a lawyer and some witnesses to help u out..sounds like a lot of trouble just for a $100 ticket

ya if it's no points and you dont have to go to driving school, you should just pay the ticket
if you goto the court, they might hit you with a court fee(50-100 bucks)

Good try but no cigar. Minor defects on a speeding ticket such as the wrong color car are not sufficient to get the ticket dismissed. See the link for an article on this and other speeding ticket hoaxes.

It is not worth trying to fight in court but it is worth trying to keep off your record. You didn't list your state so call the clerk of court and see if traffic school or a deferment is available.

Some states now accept online traffic school. You can check your jurisdiction at

Alright about the color i agree that it is minor but the time is a big thing IMO. I was not on the road at that time. My dad talk to a cop for the city of Detroit and he said the ticket would be dismissed in Detroit.. but i am not in detroit just outside of it.So I dunno.

I live a little north of Detroit, and a guy here got out of a ticket because the cop said he was traveling est on a north-south road. you should be golden.

BTW, where do you live?

I really don't have a problem with going to court to fight it. It is just that if the judge is a ass and then he gives me the points that the cop did not give me. If the judge can even do that.. So that is the only thing that is making me think twice about going to court.

i almost guarantee that the wrong time will be enough to get you out of it

don't challenge the ticket based on the wrong color. you will get nailed to the wall. time might work though
