any suggestions on intake brand?
also, has anyone bought the armrest from clubrsx.com? i'm kinda starting to get annoyed by my left arm flopping around with no where to go and was wondering if it worked well.

Left arm...what, are you British? Injen seems to be the intake of choice for the majority. I have AEM and like it very much.

No, no I am not. I must've been pretty tired when I typed that, lol.

i heard DC Sports was the best one for the RSX.

The Injen CAI is the best, the AEM CAI is harder to install, and very few have the DC.
Beginning mods:
Injen CAI
Race Headers (although they're illegal)
Springs
B&M Short Shifter
Hondata
Hondata IMG

sorry for my stupidity, but what is hondata?

Hondata is a company that offers an ECU reflash and a ECU piggyback.
I.E you can get your ECU (Electronic Control Unit - or the brains of the car) reflashed so you have a higher redline, VTEC engages earlier, and you harness more power (even more power with other mods).
If you're a tuner you'll get their ECU so you can tune the car and get better gains.
Lastly, there is the Hondata IMG, and IMG stands for Intake Manifold Gasket, cheap and it yields OK gains.

First get the Injen Cold Air intake then get Hondata #4 with the img. Clubrsx has good things.

I Think You Should Go With A Short Ram Intake First And Then Exaust And Headers Them Some Bigger Injectors

Why? That set-up might be the best for other cars, but for the RSX, a SRI looses its power after the engine bay gets hot (or if its 75 fahrenheit or higher) and will actually be slower than stock. A CAI would be optimal. Exhaust yeilds little, only race headers provide very good gains, and upgrade the injectors if you're doing a turbo.
The best starters would be as said a kajillion times, Injen CAI, Hondata, Hondata IMG, Springs, Energy Suspension motor mounts, B&M Short Shift kit and ITR cams.

If your car didn't come with high performance then you should get better tires. The RSX, Type-S or not doesn't come with particularly great performing tires.

True, the tires should be among the first upgrades...they are junk, really...

Yeah, Acura under-tires their cars big time.

What about the JET flash. I heard is was as good as the Hondata, but much less expensive. What's your opinion?

Like everyone else said, install the intake, headers, and exhaust first. If I had a RSX I would get the Injen intake, then the headers, and the Greddy Evo exhaust system.
If you go to my friends website RPMmotoring.com you can find good prices, and the Injen intakes are free shipping. If you want advice just call his toll free # and they can help you.

first thing first get a cat-back system then intake...after that get ur car prepared for Turbo which this porcess should last a while...and (u could be working on lil upgrades and saving some money) then throw in the turbo and u'll have one sick, fast RSX

Why get a catback first? The stock exhaust is pretty free, but the stock airbox is ridiculously restrictive.

Sure, the point is to get that stock airbox out of there and get that engine breathing.

Yeah, the V2 is good but it still suffers from heatsoak. Members have reported bogging down in the summer after a few minutes of driving.....
