Played saxophone for 5+ years now, alto 3 and baritone sax 2 at my school. I just started playing guitar, about 3 months ago, and i suck. Gotta acoustic electric by Takamine, and soon to get an electric blues Fender. I sorta play drums, but not big into it.

What do you play?

I've played piano for many years, can do keyboard, played electric bass for a little while, and played the clarinet in middle school and high school band. But the piano is my greatest accomplishment thus far.

Guitar. Mostly into blues. Used to play drums in high school...but that kit gets a little tedious to be hauling around.

Bass guitar for 4 years now...

I have 2 Ibanez SR 400's, a black one and a natural one, as well as a mahogany SR485, that's a 5 string.

I had a B.C. Rich Platinum Warlock bass a few years ago, but I sold it because it played like crap. Sounded wicked but played like garbage. I had a blue Jay Turser bass that I just used for hauling around to school and anywhere else I travelled. It was a bass that if it got lost it would be no big deal, and if it got dinged up it didn't matter. It was just a road bass.

I've been playing guitar for about 5 and a half years now, and I've had many of them. All I have left is this white B.C. Rich Bronze Warlock guitar. The nicest one I had was an Ibanez RG 7420, a 7 string. It was sweet, I should never have sold it...

I play lots of stuff. I played piano for a few years when I was little, and I played Trumpet for junior high and high-school bands, been playing drums since then as well. I also play guitar. Right now, I've got a Cruise strat (which looks like a really really cheap fender knockoff, but it works) running through a Digitech RP-7 Valve and a Roland Jazz/Chorus 60 amp. I also have a Yamaha W7 keyboard and a Korg Poly-61 Analog synth.

I also just picked up a Squier bass for free and a friend of mine wants me to play bass in his cover band. Another friend of mine might let me borrow his Ibanez 5-string bass with active pickups long-term also.

I've got a little home recording studio (if you can really call it that) and I've been writing alot of original stuff lately.

Oh, and I sing too.

hey Bleeddodge, look who we run into.

anyway, played tenor and baritone sax in school, then got into bass + drums. Current list is 2 fender p-bass, one j-bass, a black B.C Rich Warlock, a cheap ass fender copy, and an Ibanez sr-1000.
Carvin PB300 head with one 4x10 cab, and a single 18 bottom cab. Various effects boxes and boards, and all that other good crap. Started playing when I was about 12, so yeah, its been a while. Took up singing about the same time frame, and have gone farther with that than the bass stuff, although I still enjoy playing as time permits.

in elementary school I played Viola. Middle school, trombone. In 8th grade or so I started guitar. Had a Washburn BT2, Esp LTD Viper 300, and a Washburn Wg587V. Played those through a Marshall AVT20 amp. Sold all those and started playing bass, and still do. Now I have J-bass style Fernandes, and a Jackson JX40. I play those through a Crate BFX-100.

Oh yeah... when I played guitar, I had a few effects. Boss PH2 Super Phaser, Ibanez FZ7 Fuzz, Ibanez CF7 Chorus/Flanger, and a DOD FX20 Milkbox compressor.
My bass amp has a bunch of effects built in.

Played piano all my life, right now I just have a yamaha keyboard because I don't have enough room for a full size piano. Played guitar for a couple years, have a fender strat. It's an american series blue with chrome, alder body, maple neck, 3 single coil pickups, and a 5 position blade. I spend most of my time playing piano so I don't play guitar much.

Have you got any pics of that SR 1000 you have? Those things are incredibly rare, they only made so many of them. They're made out of padauk or something heavy like that I think? I'd love to have one of those...

I played Clarinet for 6 six years, piano for 12, oboe for 2, bassoon for 2, percussion for 4 (bells, marimba, vibes, toms, etc.), violin for 1, tenor and alto sax off and on for about 3, can play flute and trumpet. The years overlapped, so I'd played 2 or 3 different things each day. Piano, Oboe and Bassoon are favorites, by far.

lets see... we haven't done a thread like this in a while! glad to see a lot more musicians than before though!!!

ok,
violin for almost 16 years
piano for 11 (stopped last year)
guitar for 2
cello for 7

and actually i just got back from touring china with the phoenix symphony guild :D

i can pretty much play anything with strings or keys, but uh... i can make squwaks on wind instrumetns! lol

and instruments that i have: 2 violins, one electric violin, my brother's cello (his principal instrument) a piano, a couple keyboards, 2 acoustic guitars, a fender strat, a banjo, a mandolin, some random percussion instruments, chimes, and bells... and i know i'm missing some stuff there, but that's the jist of it.

I played the piano for most of my childhood and through out high school. Haven't played much since then, I am sure I am pretty rusty by now :)
