i have a 89 civic dx im gonna put a B18 in and i was wondering if there was a web site on how to do it. as in all parts need aside from engine and tranny and axles. can i use a PG7 ecu or do i have to have a ecu out of a integ. the engine is comming out of a 90 or 92 rs. tanx for info.

what year 90 or 92 because 90 is obd0 and 92 is obd 1. The 92 engine will be a hell of a lot more harder to wire in as opposed to the 90.

Just get a civic service manual, and a integra service manual and work out the bugs b/w connections.

You will need a mount kit, shift linkage, convert to MPFI, pg7 ecu wont work-(for a 1.6L engine not a 1.8), and some more custom parts.

SEARCH and then come back with questions

yeah i can get almost a complete LS swap from a 91 for $400 right now but i think im just gona stay with D-series engines, easier and cheaper to build on. This guy said he could build be a turbo kit for cheap too, about $800 i think he said.

sorry but ur a little mis informed...

1. the engine doesn't matter which year it comes out of. Use ur stock harness to run any year engine. if you use the 92 engine (better) you'll just need a 90-91 teg dizzy. I'm running a 98 crv b20 (originally obd2) with my dx harness.

2. yes, you'll need a mount kit, shift linkage, 90-93 teg axles, convert to mpfi (if its a dx). You can actually run a b18 off of the PM6 ecu without any problems. The wiring is identical. You can also run it off of the PG7. The 90-91 integra PR4 will be better but the PM6 and PG7 will run a b18 without problems....the o2 sensor will compensate for the greater airflow output with the b18 and adjust the PM6 or PG7 to add more fuel.

this is all fine and all, except you're forgetting one thing. after 75% throttle, the ECU goes into open loop mode and O2 sensor input is disabled.

In other words, in the time you need the correct air/fuel mixture the most, its not there. the engine will run lean.

Use a PR4, or a chipped PM6 with PR4 maps.

you'll need to bend the lip on the rear cross member down where the rear mount bolts on, and depending on themotor mount kit you are using, you might have to clearance the firewall for the rear mount bracket.
