Fight the guy just for a freakin' baseball? It's bad enough the other guy made a big deal about it. The smartest thing the dad did was let it go and not cause more of a scene.

Yes, grand idea. Start a fight in front of your four year-old child so he can see daddy being a violent SOB. He was right by not starting anything. The issue is something that he and the man who did the trampling need to work out on their time, not in the middle of a stadium with a bunch of people, and more importantly his son looking on.

the dad was just sitting there...wtf? Shit if i was him at least i would of said wtf to the guy, and you guys are right of not fighting the guy in front of the lil kid, but shit at least the dad could of said something...

It is all about the approach. Had both parties been a little mature and adult about it, this would have never made national news.


1) The guy would have never jumped over the seat.
2) Good parents would have put the child in the seat between them, both to protect him and to prevent him from meandering away, causing a disturbance to the other fans.
3) The mother would have let the husband handle the problem. A confrontation with a strange man is best left to the husband, not the wife.
4) The husband would have been paying some sort of attention to his family and not the fucking ballgame.

We are a society who chooses to blame everything on the Jackass, even though quite often we are the ones who set the jackass up to succeed in the first place. The only mature one in the group was the little kid.

Hopefully he didn't learn a single lesson from this, because all the lessons being taught him aren't the ones he should be learning. They should ALL be ashamed of themselves.
