alright does anyone know where nitrous was 1st used to help an engine gain power?

edit:btw not really looking for one particular instance or use, just what type of vehicles it was 1st used on, and not as an experimantal thing.

i know the answer, but when i say it someone will prob tell me im wrong and then tell me the REAL answer, but oh well...

good guess, but it was ww2. hitler had a lot of development on the jet engine so we came up with nitrous to help our conventional-engined planes out.

that was close,but I think they developped turbochargers on airplane engines too.
