Tired of hearing about Reagan's death

So i'm not a political person, but i can understand why his death would be a somewhat big deal. i just don't think its such a big deal that two weeks after his death people are still talking about it, and reporting events about his funeral on the news! and why are people gathering all over the world in candle ceremonies and crying and stuff. i mean its not like they knew the guy? No one is going to hold a ceremony for me like that when I die. It just doesn't seem right to give someones death so much attention when there are so many good people in the world that die everday.

What coverage? I haven't seen anything since the burial. :sly: I imagine there is still some commentary going on but it hardly dominates the news.

I don't watch the news much, but when i workout during my lunch break they leave the channel on CNN and it was sometime this week that they were commenting on how strong nancy was and how she is a perfect first lady and how she embodies what america is all about and so on...

I haven't heard anything since the burial either. If the media was still commenting on his death, I know I'd be sick of hearing it by now.

If you were a popular world leader they would.
It just doesn't seem right to give someones death so much attention when there are so many good people in the world that die everday.
Not popular world leaders.
I can't wait till the All Regan channel starts on cable!! Good times....

I think people really like to hear about it and think about him, because he was our last really good president. It doesn't look like we're going to get a decent one anytime soon either.

so you're tired of hearing about his death? Then why start a thread here that is bound to attract more discussion on the subject? There was only one thread in this forum on the subject and the last post made to that thread was two weeks ago...
