auto 4 speed worth it?

ok not sure if this has been asked but i was wondering if a 2001 gt auto 4 speed would be fast at all,and i mean by shifting still.would it be much slower then the stick? thanks for ya time :) and please resond soon i might get the car tommrow thanks again

yes it would be slower than a stick
