Throttle body sticking?

I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 5.3 L V-8

OK. I am no expert by any means, but I think my throttle body is "sticking" Also, my idle RPM is kinda low at 400 RPM's. What can I do to remedy this. Do I have to replace the throttle body, or can I just clean it. If so, how do I clean it....I don't even know where to start.

I found this link when I was doin some "research"

Lemme know what ya'll think....thanks in advance.

Also found this....but it seems to complicated for me. Should I take it to the shop? If so, how much *should* it cost to fix this

Just called the dealership. The guy told me that he guaranteed that a throttle body cleaning would fix my problem. He said it would also fix my idling problem.

the cost is $80. Is that fair? Or should I try to do it myself. Let me remind ya'll, I am a beginner with automotive repair, and know very little :)

HI....$80.oo is a pretty good price
couple of things though....you should see a very noticeable improvement
in idle,performance, and fuel mileage.
the truck should have better pick up on accell
ask them-make sure they clean very good...i even like to use small brush
to get inside and as deep into throttle bore as possible.
another note: depending on the mileage on the truck and if have any extended wty....GM is strong arming dealers to start using the GM intake cleaner kit.....is you don't and have a internal engine failure later on....they have recently declined wty repairs on failed engines, were owners used non-GM chemicals.
the GM chemical is actually pretty good....and it should be close to same price....it cost me a total of about $90.00.
