I got a question on this subject.
I know the clearcoat comes on the car after applying the decals.
So - do you polish the carpaint before attaching the decals or after applying decals and clearcoat or twice?

Hi there!
This is a fair question, without a straight answer BUT...
If you want to polish the body of the kit it's best to clear coat and do it before applying decals. This way you'll get a much smoother surface for the decals to adhere to. After you've done that you do your decaling and then (if you want) you can apply some more clear to seal the decals in and get a surface to apply wax on.
One thing to think about is if the decals are supposed to be clear coatedd the last time at all. Many race car and bike decals are using race/rally specific decals or the like wich will not have a clear coat on top. They are just applied for that specific race. Just something to have in mind. This is also something to think of when using MicroSet, some decals shall have a decal look, not a painted on look...

So, in short form
Paint, easy sand, paint.
Clear coat, clear coat, clear coat.
sand, polish etc
decals on
clear coat if you want.

Best regards
Joel
