Heres the scoop. Mine is a '89 Cavi 2.0 4 cyl. I went to it move the other day. I turn the key, I can here the fuel pump as normal and the engine rotates. It does not start???? I check and find that I have no spark and the injector is not shooting fuel. I am getting no codes from th OBDI . I remove the injector and it is getting fuel. I have a few ideas but thought I would see what you guys have experienced. I am thinking ECM or Ignition Switch. Maybe a bad ground, but everything else works so might be local to the ECM. Any Ideas Welcome. Thanks.

Check crank position sensor-it tells the coil when to fire.

Yea, it don't have a crank position sensor but it does have a camshaft position sensor that does that. I was thinking that could be it but it is real hard to get to so I was hoping for anything else ha ha. Looks like I'm gonna be gettin dirty. Thanks

Thanks. That is my plan for tonight. I'll let ya know. I have a lifetime warranty on the one in there now so I can test this theory for free. I just wish they would put the thing somewhere accessable.

Well the module tested good. and I stand corrected. It is called a Crank Position Sensor. Now I just have to find it. The Haynes manual says on the back of the motor. I don't see it. Down low I suppose. Under it I go..
