Im stuck between these two for a 95 civic coupe swap, ok a few questions about them, ok the only obvious differences i see is the compression, price, and the .2 litres. But the thing I dont get is would that .2 ever make a difference? Is the 92-95(SiR II) the b16a2? And whats the engine code for the 99-00 civic si or is that the same engine. And what would you all go for if you had enough money to buy either, please dont go on to any other engines ive already heard it so juss kill it if ure gunna mention another one other than a b series, o ya and i dont want the ls/vtec, and lat question whats the vtec controller do, and duz it come wit the engine?

99-00 Civic Si is the b16a2, 92-95 is the b16a3 (USDM that is). If I had enough money for the b18c1, I'd go for that because you'll get more torque and an extra 10 hp. The b16a has 111 ft-lbs of torque, whereas the b18c1 has 127 or 128. The extra torque and extra horsepower combined would make your civic faster than a b16a civic. The VTEC controller doesn't come with the engine, but it changes the rpm level at which VTEC engages. It's useful for tuning with aftermarket cams or other internals, but is pretty much useless if you're running stock.
