Ducati ingenuity or blunder?

Btw, I know Ducatis are inherently twice as much expensive than Jap bikes, but are they reliable as Japanese bikes?

Can't speak for reliability... but when regular "tune-ups" cost about 3.5 to 4x more than almost any given Jap bike, I'll pass on their "ingenuity".

I thought Ducati is British and Aprilia is Italian? :) I think mh900e is ugly for a Ducati.

also with Dukes the sevicing is more regular and theres alot more to adjust. i'm not sure of the US sevicing shedule but roughly whatwould done on a 15 000mile service every 3000. My mechanic for my cars has a 'senna' and said something about resetting the valve s every service. But if you can afford a duke, wouldn't it all be worth it

Like Aston Martins and Ferraris, European rides are excessively expensive.

But for bikes, I thought the other side of the pond would be closer to US than Japan, hence cheaper. heh.

If Ducati requires servicing more often, it's not so reliable and user friendly then.

yeah i know what you mean but it probably comes down to work ethic. The japs work long hours and dont take sick days. they work for pride in the company. The europeans work for pride in workmanship but can charge accordingly
